# Rename records

> Rename the default 'record' label in a data table to match your context — call rows 'tasks', 'SKUs', 'customers', or any term that fits your workflow, and all UI labels update automatically.

Each row in a table is called a **record** by default. Rename it to fit your use case — a task tracker can call records **tasks**, a product catalog can call them **SKUs**, a CRM can call them **customers**, and so on.

## How

1. In the left sidebar, click the icon to the right of the table and pick **Rename**.

2. In the dialog, enter the record name you want.

## What changes

Take a CRM table — rename records to **Customer**:

**Add record** becomes **Add customer**.

The bottom stats **4 records** become **4 customers**.
