# 1 Overview

Use the Barcode field to scan **barcodes** or **QR codes** from **DingTalk mobile** and capture their content (numbers, text, URLs) into AI Table for downstream use.

# 2 Basics

## 2.1 Add a barcode field

In a **grid view**, click + in the upper-right of the toolbar — pick **Barcode** under field types. In a **form view**, pick **Barcode** from the question list to collect barcodes via the form.

In a **form view**, pick **Barcode** from the question list — toggle **mobile scan only** as needed.

## 2.2 Enter barcodes

With **mobile scan only** off, you can **type manually** or **scan from mobile**.

With **mobile scan only** on, only **mobile scanning** works. To use it: open the record detail / form link on mobile, tap **Scan**, and the QR / barcode content fills the cell.
