# Date

> The AI Table Date field stores date and time — with configurable date and time formats.

The AI Table **Date** field stores **date and time** — with configurable **date format** and **time format**.

You can also set **due reminders** to send notifications at a specific time.

## Add a date field

1. Click + in the upper-right of the title bar.
2. Click **Field type**.
3. Pick **Date**.

## Set the date format

In **Display format**, pick a format.

## Enter a date

Double-click a cell to open the date picker — pick a date.

## Set due reminders

Double-click a date cell — at the bottom of the date picker, find the **Reminder** checkbox. Toggle it on, then set **recipients**, **time**, and **content**. Multiple **times** are supported.

**Recipients**: must be members of the document; you can't create members ad hoc.

**Time**: if the date has no specific time, the default reminder is 9 AM that day. If the date has a time, the reminder fires at the start, 5 min before, 10 min before, 30 min before, or 1 hour before.
