# Generate formulas with AI

# 1 Overview

Use AI Table's **AI-generate-formula** feature to create and apply formulas fast — efficient, frictionless data processing.

# 2 Basics

**Create a formula field**: click ➕ at the right of the header bar, pick **Formula** as the field type.

**Edit formula**: click **Edit formula** to open the formula editor.

**Switch to AI generate**: switch to the AI generate tab. Enter your instruction on the left — the formula appears on the right.

**Apply**: click **Apply** in the bottom-right of the formula box. The formula syncs into the editor at the top — click **Confirm**.
