DingTalk Attendance offers multiple verification methods to confirm that employees clock in themselves, prevent buddy punching, and help organizations build a fair and impartial work environment. The following section describes three common verification methods that prevent buddy punching.

## Three anti-buddy-punching verification methods

    Employees can only clock in with their own phones. If an Employee uses their own phone to clock in on behalf of someone else, the action is recorded and triggers a security check. Admins can review and confirm the record in the attendance history.

    When Employees clock in—especially when visiting clients off-site—they can upload a photo taken with the client to confirm that they have arrived at the work location and started working. Admins can then review the photo in the attendance records for confirmation.

    During clock-in, facial recognition quickly verifies whether the Employee is clocking in themselves. Anyone attempting to clock in on behalf of another person will fail the facial recognition check.
