# Zhidian Bluetooth clock-in

> Learn how to configure and use the DingTalk B1 Zhidian Bluetooth Time Clock: it supports work clock-in, event check-in, store patrol, and inspection scenarios, integrates seamlessly with DingTalk, and includes FAQs on binding attendance groups.

## 1. Feature overview

The DingTalk B1 Zhidian Bluetooth Time Clock is an attendance device that combines advanced Bluetooth technology with smart management features. Beyond daily work clock-in, it supports scenarios such as event check-in, spot patrol, store patrol, and inspection. Seamless integration with DingTalk gives organizations a comprehensive attendance management solution.

## 2. Use cases

* Attendance clock-in: Bluetooth sensing records employee entry and exit times, and supports multiple clock-in modes (such as standard and flexible clock-in) to ensure accurate and complete data.

* Event check-in: Ideal for meetings, training sessions, and other activities. Quickly complete attendee check-in and improve organizational efficiency.

## 3. How to use

### Bind and configure the Zhidian Time Clock

Open **Mobile DingTalk > Scan the QR Code on the top of the device or in the manual > Connect to the Time Clock via Bluetooth > Connect and configure Wi-Fi > Bind Team > Name the device** to complete the setup.

## 4. FAQ

    The Admin must unbind all Zhidian Time Clocks and then bind them again. After the version upgrade completes, they will be bound automatically.

    Open the Zhidian B1 app on the Mobile DingTalk Workbench to configure the device address, unbind the device, and adjust other settings.

  <Accordion id="q3" title="How do I enable facial recognition on the B1?">
    The Admin opens the Bluetooth attendance page and turns on the "facial recognition" switch. Once enabled, every employee who completes a Bluetooth clock-in on the B1 is prompted to verify their identity via facial recognition on their phone, preventing buddy punching.

    After the Admin turns on the "facial recognition" switch, tap to open the face registration page. The Admin can notify all employees at once to register their faces on their own phones, or register each employee individually using the Admin's own phone.

    When the Admin completes a Bluetooth clock-in on the B1, the device flashes a red light to indicate low battery. The Admin also receives a Work Notification prompting them to replace the device battery.

    The Alibaba Cloud and DingTalk security teams apply rigorous attack-and-defense technologies to safeguard Bluetooth clock-in and prevent spoofing.

    To protect user privacy, you must open the DingTalk Client-side manually.

    A single B1 device can store clock-in data for up to 10,000 users.

    Yes. We will progressively open APIs based on organizational needs.

    To prevent the B1 from being moved, an Admin with the required permission can enable **Location anomaly detection**. Path: **Mobile DingTalk > Workbench > Attendance > Time Clock**. Select the device and turn on **Location anomaly detection** to monitor location anomalies.

    With this device, employees can only clock in within a 5-meter range, ensuring they are at the worksite. You can also enable facial recognition so that employees must verify their identity when clocking in, confirming that the clock-in is performed by the employee in person.
