# Require Verification When Adding Me as a Friend

> Require manual confirmation before any stranger can add you as a DingTalk friend—improves privacy and blocks unsolicited add-friend requests from outside the org.

## 1. Feature Overview

To protect your DingTalk account security and prevent strangers from adding you as a friend without permission, DingTalk provides the Require verification when adding me as a friend feature. After it is enabled, any user who adds you as a friend must be confirmed by you, improving privacy protection and information security.

## 2. Procedure

Open DingTalk on mobile > Me > Settings and Privacy > Friend Permissions > enable Require my confirmation when adding me as a friend.
