# Full document translation

> DingTalk Docs' built-in translation feature supports word-selection translation across 20+ languages, letting you instantly translate selected text and choose to replace the original or insert the translated version alongside it.

When reading documents in other languages, use the built-in translation feature to translate the text into your target language and remove reading barriers.

## Instructions

Select the text you want to translate, click the **Menu** button on the left side of the toolbar, and then select **Tools > Smart translation > Word translation** to open the translation panel. The selected text is automatically translated and displayed in the panel on the right. Over 20 languages are currently supported. At the bottom of the translation panel, choose to **Replace the original text** or **Insert** the translated text into the document.
