# Sharing and permissions

> DingTalk Mind lets you share files via link, chat, or QR code and set granular permissions — edit, view/download, or view-only — to securely control access for any collaboration scenario.

DingTalk Mind files can be easily shared with other collaborators. A wide range of permission settings are available to meet the needs of various collaboration scenarios.

## Desktop instructions

* Click the **Share** button in the upper-right corner. In the pop-up panel, you can perform sharing and permission settings.

## How to share

* Click **Copy Link** to copy the link of the current file to the clipboard. You can then paste it into another document or a DingTalk chat window.

* Click **Send to Chat**. In the pop-up window, select the Direct Message or Group Chat you want to send to, and then click **Confirm** to complete the sharing.

* Click **Share QR Code** to save the QR Code that points to the current file, or forward it directly to a chat window.

## How to manage permissions

* Click **Add Collaborator** to grant permissions to specific users.

* You can configure permissions for added users. Supported actions include Can edit, Can view/download, View only, and Hide chat permissions.

* You can also make the file public to all users in the current organization, allowing quick authorization for File Types suitable for organization-wide sharing.

* In the pop-up window, you can add specific users or groups. After confirming, you can flexibly set permissions and send notifications to keep the recipients informed of the latest permission status.

## Mobile sharing instructions

* On mobile, open the online sharing feature from the menu in the upper-right corner to easily complete sharing and permission settings on your phone.

* The mobile app supports multiple sharing methods:

1. Share directly to a chat

2. Copy the document link

3. Generate a QR Code

4. Share to WeChat or QQ

## How to manage permissions on mobile

* After tapping **Share**, tap **Currently x users have access** to enter the permission management page.

* On the permission management page, you can add specific Departments, Group Chats, or Users.
