# Copy and paste

## Copy (or cut) content

* **Copy**: Select the target area and press **Ctrl + C (Cmd + C on Mac)** to copy the content.

* **Cut**: Select the target area and press **Ctrl + X (Cmd + X on Mac)** to cut the content.

The border of the selected area turns into a **dashed line**, indicating that the content has been copied or cut.

## Paste content

Select the target cell area and press **Ctrl + V (Cmd + V on Mac)** to paste the content.

* **Default paste**: The pasted content keeps the original formatting and style of the copied (or cut) content.

* **Paste special**: You can also choose to paste only values, styles, or formulas.

  * After pasting, a paste special icon appears in the bottom-right corner of the selected area. Click it to choose how to paste, or right-click the selected area and select **Paste special** from the menu.

* **Copy as image**: When copying content, a **Copy as image** option appears in the bottom-right corner of the selection box. Click it to paste the copied content as an image for saving.
