# Freeze records and columns

> Freeze rows and columns in Dingtalk Sheets to keep header information visible while scrolling and entering data in large spreadsheets.

When a Spreadsheet contains a large amount of data, scrolling down for too long can make it difficult to remember what each data point represents. Freezing records and columns helps you identify the meaning of the data in each Record and Column. Once frozen, the frozen portion stays visible regardless of scroll position, making it easier to enter data under the corresponding Title and verify information.

## How to freeze records and columns

Freezing records and columns includes the following Actions: freeze to current Record, freeze to current Column, freeze to current Record and Column, and pin Selected Record to the top.

* Select the Record or Column you want to freeze, then use either of the following methods to complete the freeze operation:

1. Method 1: Click **Freeze to current Record** on the toolbar. The bottom line of the Selected Record will become noticeably Bold, indicating that the Record freeze is complete and the Record will remain fixed when scrolling up or down. Click **Freeze to current Column** on the toolbar, and the right line of the Selected Column will become noticeably Bold, indicating that the current Column freeze is complete.

2. Method 2: Select any Record header Cell, right-click, and choose **Freeze records —> Freeze to Selected Record**. The Record corresponding to the bottom-right border of the Selected Cell will be frozen.

## How to unfreeze

Select any Record or Column in the Spreadsheet, then click **Freeze —> Unfreeze records and columns** on the toolbar to quickly unfreeze.
