# How to Delete Files and Recover Deleted Files

> Delete unwanted files or folders in DingTalk Drive on desktop or mobile; deleted items go to the recycle bin where they can be restored, keeping file management both convenient and safer.

Folders and files can be deleted in DingTalk Drive. After deletion, they are moved to the recycle bin, where they can be recovered. This makes file management more convenient and safer.

## Desktop

Open the DingTalk Drive home page, **Team Files** on the Docs home page, or **My Files (from DingTalk Drive)** under My Docs. Select the files you want to delete and click **Delete**. The files will be moved to the recycle bin. Items in the recycle bin do not use storage capacity.
