# Manage @Everyone Permissions

> Manage @Everyone permissions in a group: change who can use @Everyone, understand what changes for members, and adjust related notification settings.

In busy groups, @Everyone can notify many people at once. Group owners and admins can control who is allowed to use it.

## Change who can use @Everyone

1. Open the group chat.

2. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner.

3. Select **Group Management**.

4. Open **Group permission settings**.

5. Select **Who can @ Everyone**.

Use this setting to reduce unnecessary broad notifications in large or active groups.

## What changes for members

After this permission is updated, the selected permission rule controls who can notify everyone in the group with @Everyone.

## Related settings

Other group notification and message controls are also available under **Group Management** > **Group permission settings**, such as who can put group messages on top or pin group news.
