# Changes to the DingTalk Connect Platform Commercialization Model

> This article describes the changes to the integration and automation services of the DingTalk Connect Platform.

To better support and meet the connection needs of DingTalk customers, the DingTalk Connect Platform is committed to continuously enriching DingTalk's connection capabilities and control production across different scenarios through graphical process orchestration. It provides better integration and automation services, enabling data interoperability and process automation among DingTalk apps, ecosystem apps, and Organization-owned apps.

**Important**

To continuously provide a more stable and efficient service experience, the DingTalk App Development Platform will soon optimize and adjust its PaaS usage policy. This document will be migrated to the historical documentation on September 18, 2024. For details on the adjustment announcement, refer to the DingTalk PaaS Capability Adjustment Announcement.

## **1. Scope of Adjustment**

The DingTalk Connect Platform provides integration and automation services for organizations. The number of connect flow node executions is one of the units of measurement for commercialization.

This adjustment applies to the number of connect flow node executions for the integration and automation services of DingTalk Standard, DingTalk Pro, and DingTalk Dedicated editions, as well as the number of connect flow node executions in the enterprise app development add-on package.

## **2. Details of the Adjustment**

Before September 1, 2023, the DingTalk Connect Platform was still in public beta, so it granted a very high quota of connect flow node executions to organizations, and DingTalk bore the high operating costs for this.

Since September 1, 2023, to better provide healthy and sustainable services to customers, official commercialization rules for the Connect Platform have been officially rolled out to all DingTalk organizations, gradually and by customer segment.

After DingTalk Standard edition users exceed the call count limit, they can purchase the Professional edition or Dedicated edition to increase their usage. After the Professional edition/Dedicated edition exceeds the call count usage, they can purchase the **App Development and Coolification Add-on Package** to increase their usage.

| **Capability Service** | **DingTalk Standard Edition** | **DingTalk Professional Edition** | **DingTalk Dedicated Edition** | **App Development and Coolification Add-on Package** |
| ------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------- | --------------------------------- | ------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| **Connect Flow Node Execution Call Count** | 1,000 times/calendar month | 10,000 times/calendar month | 20,000 times/calendar month | 100,000 times/calendar month (stackable) |
| **OA Approval Connector** | Not supported | Supported | Supported | Supported |
| **Price** | **Free** | **CNY 9,800/year** | **Contact Sales** | **CNY 19,800/year** |

## **3. Measurement Rules**

The measurement rules for the number of connect flow node executions are as follows:

* **Counted cases:**

  * After a **"Execute Action"** completes successfully, 1 count is recorded.
  * When a **"Delayed Execution"** node is called, 1 count is recorded.
  * When a **"Network Request"** node is called, 1 count is recorded.
  * Each time a **"Branch Node"** performs a judgment, 1 count is recorded.
  * A single **"Loop Execution"** node is counted only once within a process, regardless of how many times the loop runs.
  * When an action executes and no data is found, it is still considered a success and counts as 1 task. For example, when a Contacts data query action finds no data that meets the conditions, 1 count is still recorded.
* **Non-counted cases:**

  * Trigger event executions are not counted.
  * Nodes that are not executed in a process are not counted, and nodes that fail to execute are not counted.
  * Nodes executed in Debug mode are not counted.

## **4. Recommendations for Using Connect Flow Node Executions**

Recommendations for using connect flow node executions include:

* Delete unnecessary execution nodes, or use branches to complete the process, to reduce meaningless calls.
* Within a loop execution, apply conditional judgments to avoid excessive invalid loops.
* Use the alert subscription feature of the Connect Platform so that you are notified promptly when a flow fails to execute.
* Disable invalid connect flows in a timely manner to avoid wasting call counts.

## **5. Timeline for Measurement Adjustment**

1. Starting September 1, 2023, organizations on the **DingTalk Standard edition** that **use for the first time** the integration and automation services of the DingTalk Connect Platform will be subject to the changed entitlements.
2. For organizations on the **DingTalk Standard edition** that **have already used** the integration and automation services of the DingTalk Connect Platform before September 1, 2023, the changed entitlements will uniformly take effect from November 1, 2023. Organizations that purchase DingTalk Pro or DingTalk Dedicated edition **before** November 1, 2023 will receive the **pre-change entitlements**.
3. For organizations that have already purchased DingTalk Pro or DingTalk Dedicated edition and are within the validity period, the connect flow node execution entitlements of the original service contract remain unchanged. Organizations that renew DingTalk Pro or DingTalk Dedicated edition **before** November 1, 2023 will receive the **pre-change entitlements**.

## **6. Additional Notes**

1. From the date of this announcement until September 1, 2023, you can share your ideas and feedback through the Development Assistant in the [DingTalk Developer Console](https://open-dev.dingtalk.com/#/).
2. For more effective and reasonable use of the DingTalk Connect Platform, we recommend focusing on the following points:

   1. If your needs are still not met after optimizing the connect flow node execution configuration, contact your DingTalk account manager, DingTalk city manager, or DingTalk regional service provider to upgrade to the expansion entitlements of [DingTalk Pro](dingtalk://dingtalkclient/page/link?spm=ding_open_doc.document.0.0.224a5c56vEfJvY\&url=https%3A%2F%2Fpages.dingtalk.com%2Fwow%2Fdingtalk%2Fdefault%2Fdingtalk%2FySo4LZdi4jKOGqVYDBvzI%3Fwh_ttid%3Dphone%26channel%3Dopenpf_web_announcement_ipaas230808%26\&web_wnd=general\&width=480\&height=800) or [DingTalk Dedicated edition](https://partner.dingtalk.com/opportunity_web.html?channel=openpf_web_devdoc_trial\&templateId=092b3722b3fd4dd08fb641a194a90691#/consultingService).
   2. If your call needs are still not met after upgrading to the expansion entitlements of [DingTalk Pro](dingtalk://dingtalkclient/page/link?spm=ding_open_doc.document.0.0.224a5c56vEfJvY\&url=https%3A%2F%2Fpages.dingtalk.com%2Fwow%2Fdingtalk%2Fdefault%2Fdingtalk%2FySo4LZdi4jKOGqVYDBvzI%3Fwh_ttid%3Dphone%26channel%3Dopenpf_web_announcement_ipaas230808%26\&web_wnd=general\&width=480\&height=800) or [DingTalk Dedicated edition](https://partner.dingtalk.com/opportunity_web.html?channel=openpf_web_devdoc_trial\&templateId=092b3722b3fd4dd08fb641a194a90691#/consultingService), refer to the App Development and Coolification Add-on Package.
