## When Do You Need a Custom Domain?

* In general scenarios, YiDA provides each organization with a dedicated subdomain under aliwork.com. Organizations can customize the \*\* segment in \*\*.aliwork.com to achieve a certain level of URL personalization.
* However, medium and large organizations with stronger branding requirements — such as those building internal portals or enterprise information systems aligned with corporate identity — need a fully custom domain configuration.

## How to Enable a Custom Domain

### 1. Prepare Your Organization's Domain Materials

Prepare the custom domain you want to configure, confirm that ICP filing has been completed for it, and provide a valid SSL certificate.

### 2. Activate DingTalk Enterprise App Gateway

In the DingTalk OA admin console, use the App Gateway product settings to configure domain mapping rules and security policies, then formally enable your custom domain.

## FAQ

Q1: How is the YiDA custom domain implemented?
A1: It is implemented through the Layer 7 proxy and the built-in request/response rewriting capabilities of DingTalk App Gateway. When a user accesses YiDA through the custom domain, the request first reaches the cloud-based App Gateway and is rewritten, then forwarded to the intranet or cloud server where the connector is deployed, and finally reaches YiDA on the public network. The response returns along the same path.

Q2: What do I need to do to activate a custom domain?
A2: Provide an intranet or cloud server for deploying the connector, and complete the CNAME resolution for the custom domain.

Q3: Does the custom domain support single sign-on or other special scenarios?
A3: There are risks, and successful integration cannot be guaranteed.
