# Configure a Liaison

> This article explains how to configure a liaison in YiDA, including signing in to the workbench, accessing the platform management page, creating a liaison, and adding users. Configuring a liaison streamlines the management and execution of business processes and improves efficiency.

In YiDA, a liaison acts as a department owner responsible for handling specific tasks within a business process. Liaisons typically serve in key roles such as approver or operator. You can configure liaisons through the permission management scope to streamline the management and execution of business processes and improve efficiency. This article explains how to configure a liaison.

## Procedure

    Sign in to the [YiDA workbench](https://www.yidaapps.com/workPlatform) as an Admin.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step 2">
    Click **Platform management** in the upper-right corner to open the platform management page.

  <Step title="In the left-side navigation pane, click Role management, select YiDA liaison, and then click Add liaison." />

  <Step title="In the Add liaison dialog box, enter the name, maintainer, and description, and then click Confirm to create the liaison." />

| **Attribute**   | **Description**                                                               |
| --------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Name**        | The name of the liaison.                                                      |
| **Maintainer**  | The manager of the liaison, who can view, modify, and delete liaison members. |
| **Description** | Information that describes the purpose or other functions of the liaison.     |
