# Approval Assignment Methods

> Approval assignment methods include simultaneous assignment and sequential assignment. In simultaneous assignment, all approvers receive the approval request at the same time. In sequential assignment, the request is sent to each approver in order, and the next approver receives it only after the current approver completes the Approval.

Approval assignment methods fall into two types: simultaneous assignment and sequential assignment.

* Simultaneous assignment: If a node requires approval from multiple people, the task is assigned to all approvers at the same time.
* Sequential assignment: Tasks are assigned in order. The task is passed to the next approver only after the previous approver completes the Approval.

When there are three approvers, the first approver receives the approval message first. The remaining approvers receive it only after the first approver completes the Approval.
