# Create a Blank App

> Learn how to create an app from scratch on the DingTalk YiDA platform, including key steps such as signing in to the workbench, clicking Create app, and renaming the app.

DingTalk YiDA offers five ways to create an app. This article explains how to create a blank app.

## Steps

Follow these steps to create a blank app.

1. Sign in to the YiDA workbench.
2. In the upper-right corner, click **Create app**.
3. On the **Create app** page, click **Create blank app**.
4. In the upper-left corner of the page, rename the app.

  * The default app name is Untitled app.
  * The app name is saved automatically when the input box loses focus.

Once the app is created, select a page to start building.
