# Display Format

> Learn how to configure field formatting, prefix and suffix settings, and empty value replacement, with screenshots of both the settings and the resulting display. This page also explains why the year line break feature does not take effect in certain charts and lists the date formatting types that are supported.

You can apply Formatting, Prefix and suffix, and Empty value replacement to fields.

The image below shows the result of enabling Thousands separator, keeping 0 decimal places, setting Data magnitude to 10,000, and adding the prefix "Haha".

## 2. FAQ

### 2.1 Why Does the Year Line Break Not Take Effect?

It currently applies only to **Column charts and combination line charts**. Other chart components are not supported.

If the X-Axis of a Column chart or combination line chart uses a Date field, the year wraps to a new line once year line break is set to On, as shown below:

### 2.2 Fields Supported by Date Formatting

Date fields are supported by default. Specific formats of Text fields (such as 20000204) are also supported.
