Solution providers can independently expand their customer base and use the targeted app distribution feature to install third-party enterprise apps in bulk, based on clearly defined target organizations and a fixed number of organizations. Note If you have a need for targeted, quantified app distribution, first join the “DingTalk ISV Communication Group” organization (ISV Communication Group application link).

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the Developer Console.
  2. Click App Development, and then select Third-party enterprise app.
  3. Click the target app to open its details page, and then click Targeted App Distribution.
  4. Click Create Distribution Request.
  5. On the Create App Distribution Request page, enter the following information.
    • Project Name: Enter a name for the request.
    • DingTalk Support Contact: Enter the mobile number of your DingTalk support contact.
    • App Installation Method:
      • Authorized installation: The app is installed with the authorization of the customer’s Organization Admin, who must accept the authorization.
      • Silent installation: You must submit a written authorization letter for app installation between the distributing primary organization and the receiving organizations, stamped with a legally valid seal. Note The uploaded authorization letter must not exceed 10 MB and supports formats such as PDF, JPG, and PNG.
    • Import List: Upload the list following the format of the template file. The list includes the following content:
      • Customer organization ID: For example, ding0ed2fxx.
      • Customer organization name: For example, Open Platform App Review Team.
      • Customer Organization Admin’s mobile number: For example, 138xxxx3120.
  6. After you complete the information, click Submit to submit it for review.
  7. After the request is approved, select the project with the status Approved, and then click Details to open the distribution page.
  8. On the distribution page, you can deploy the distribution using the following methods.
    • Click App Distribution to deploy.
      1. Click Start Distribution to deploy to all organizations under Distribution Information at once. After the deployment succeeds, different organizations display different deployment statuses. After the deployment succeeds, it appears as shown below:
    • Use the deployment QR Code for offline deployment.
      1. Click Deployment QR Code, and then scan the generated deployment QR Code with DingTalk on your mobile phone.
      2. Select the basic information for targeted app distribution, select DingTalk Workbench App Installation Authorization, and then click Install Now. After the installation succeeds, it appears as shown below:
