In busy groups, @Everyone can notify many people at once. Group owners and admins can control who is allowed to use it.

Change who can use @Everyone

  1. Open the group chat.
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select Group Management.
  4. Open Group permission settings.
  5. Select Who can @ Everyone.

What changes for members

After this permission is updated, the selected permission rule controls who can notify everyone in the group with @Everyone. Other group notification and message controls are also available under Group Management > Group permission settings, such as who can put group messages on top or pin group news.
