Use the Outline feature to structure your document. DingTalk Docs detects the headings in your document and automatically adds them to the outline panel on the right. This helps readers quickly grasp the document’s content structure, and helps editors quickly check for missing or duplicate content when revising the document.

Instructions

Add a text outline

Select the text you want to use as a document outline entry, then click a heading style in the top toolbar. The system automatically sets the heading as an outline entry.

View the document outline

Desktop

Hover over the outline icon on the right side of the document, then click the pin icon to fix the outline in place.

Mobile

The outline is also supported on mobile. Open the document in DingTalk on your phone, then tap ··· > Outline in the top right corner.
