In Permissions and security, you can configure Default permissions for new documents, External sharing, Who can set documents as Public within organization, Permissions to create Knowledge Bases, Set Knowledge Base as Public within organization, and Document watermark.Default permissions for new documents
Define the default permission rule that applies when employees create new documents. After a document is created, the document owner can adjust the permissions as needed.External sharing
- Specify whether DingTalk Docs, Quick Meeting, and AI Minutes can be shared outside your organization.
- Specify whether DingTalk Docs can be published publicly to the web.
Who can set documents/files as Public within organization
Once a document is set as Public within organization, any user in your organization who obtains the document or file can access its content. Use this setting to define who can set or cancel the Public within organization status for documents and files.Who can create DingTalk Docs Knowledge Bases

DingTalk Docs storage usage includes My Docs and Knowledge Base. You can view the storage that DingTalk Docs has consumed within your organization.- My Docs: The personal space assigned by your organization for individual knowledge management, used to capture and organize personal work knowledge. The storage limit for each employee’s My Docs is 2 GB.
- Knowledge Base: Knowledge management organized by entities such as company, department, or project, used for sharing, collaboration, and organizational knowledge management.
