How to use DingTalk Mind

  • Desktop: Open DingTalk — go to Docs in the left navigation — click Create — select Mind Map.
  • Mobile: Open DingTalk — tap More in the bottom right — tap Docs — tap the + icon — create a Mind Map.

Switch styles and structures with one click

DingTalk Mind lets you adjust the structure, theme, line style, and more based on your preferences, so you can flexibly create mind maps with your personal style.

Easy and secure online sharing

DingTalk Mind supports multiple sharing methods, including sharing within DingTalk, exporting as an image, and sharing via link, making online collaboration simple.

Real-time co-editing by multiple users

DingTalk Mind allows multiple users and multiple groups to co-edit at the same time. Content updates in real time, so collaborators always see the latest ideas.

Comment based on mind map content

You can comment on mind map content online. Mention colleagues with @ in comments, and messages can be delivered through chat to make collaboration more efficient.

Copy and paste support

DingTalk Mind supports common copy and paste shortcuts. With no formatting issues, you can quickly migrate content.

Switch views

You can switch between Mind Map view and Outline view.

Expand or collapse nodes

If a node has child nodes, you can collapse or expand them with one click. You can also click the small blue dot to collapse or expand the node directly.

Toolbar

  • The floating toolbar can follow your editing or be fixed at the bottom. It includes the following main buttons:
    • Common actions in the Mind Map view, such as inserting a sibling node, inserting a child node, and expanding or collapsing with one click.
    • Add markers and tags. You can insert emojis as markers in the Mind Map view to bring a bit of fun to busy work. Mind Map views are no longer just rigid diagrams of divergent thinking — they can also be rich, expressive combinations of text and visuals.
    • Add links: Insert web URLs to connect your mind map to more information.
    • Add images: Insert images for more intuitive expression.
    • Add aliases: Distinguish between main information and additional notes to make information hierarchies clear.

Integration with DingTalk

  • DingTalk Mind is deeply integrated with DingTalk and supports sharing, permission settings, and task collaboration, helping you collaborate more efficiently on content within your organization.

Share to Chat

  • Send as a Card to the recipient. They can click to open the mind map directly.

Set permissions

  • Grant access to specified people. Access permissions include: Can manage, Can edit, Can view/download, and Can view only. Permission setting notifications can be sent via DingTalk chat messages.

Export as image

You can export the edited Mind Map view as an image. Click the ”…” icon in the top right corner to see Download as > Image.

Comments

Select the text box you want to comment on, then click the Comments button on the right side of the toolbar. A comment box will appear on the right side of the interface for you to enter your comment.
