Apply alternating colors

  1. Select the spreadsheet area you want to enhance.
  2. Click Toolbar -> the dropdown arrow next to the fill color icon -> Alternating colors.
  3. Choose a color scheme that fits your preference, use case, or subject. Click the desired option in the popup to apply it.

Modify the filled area

  1. A small handle appears at the bottom-right corner of the area filled with alternating colors.
  2. Without selecting the area, simply hover your mouse over the handle. The cursor will change to a draggable style.
  3. Drag horizontally or vertically to resize the filled area.

Change or clear the color scheme

  1. Select any part of the filled area.
  2. Click Toolbar -> the down arrow next to the fill color icon -> Alternating colors, then choose another color scheme from the popup to change it.
  3. Click No fill in the popup to remove the colors.

Notes

  1. Different alternating-color areas cannot overlap.
  2. Alternating colors have a lower tier than colors you fill in manually. If you have already filled a cell area with a color, applying alternating colors will have no effect. Clear the existing fill color first, then apply alternating colors.
