Why use Group Q&A Tabler

Self-service answers for Group members, less work for Group admins

Before: Group members had to frequently @Admins with questions. Admins juggling multiple roles could not respond to member messages in time. Now: Admins compile the questions that need answers into a Document and let Group Q&A Tabler learn from it. The Tabler understands Group members’ intent and answers questions based on the knowledge it has learned, freeing up Admins.

Sync materials across one Group, deliver answers across many

Before: When one Admin managed multiple Group Chats, identical messages had to be sent to each Group separately, which was prone to omissions or errors. Different Groups also asked the same questions, taking too much time to answer. Now: The Tabler answers Group messages by learning from the linked Group Knowledge Base files. You can link the same Knowledge Base to multiple Group Chats and update its Content. After the Tabler learns the Content in a specified Group Chat, it answers based on the latest information, freeing up Admins.

Instant answers, no waiting for members

Before: Admins worried about not being able to reply in time, holding up members’ work Progress. Now: Group members can directly @Group Q&A in the Group Chat to ask questions. The AI Assistant answers instantly and suggests other related questions members might find useful, greatly improving Group management efficiency.

Use cases for Group Q&A Tabler

Smart Q&A for policies and procedures

Background: The finance Team at Company A frequently has to answer reimbursement questions from Company members, such as reimbursement procedures, budget limits, and finance policies. Due to the large number of inquiries, normal finance work is significantly disrupted. The finance staff created a Q&A Group for frequent inquirers and added Group Q&A Tabler. The Tabler learns the latest finance policy Documents, reimbursement guides, and budget Spreadsheets to help Group members with questions such as the following:

Warehouse information lookup

Background: A large supermarket chain needs to effectively manage its complex warehouse system, including daily merchandise inventory, expired item monitoring, and supply chain management. The supermarket’s warehouse Admin is responsible for uploading daily inbound merchandise, inventory status, and expiration monitoring reports to a dedicated warehouse management Knowledge Base. Group Q&A Tabler is then added to the staff’s warehouse inquiry Group Chat, so store staff can @Group Q&A anytime to get the latest warehouse information.

Q&A

Q1: Group Q&A Tabler feels similar to DingTalk’s Group Chat Bots. What’s the difference? A: Group Chat Bots require Admins to have some development skills, or to integrate already-developed Group Chat Bots, which carries a relatively high usage cost. The Tabler, however, can extract Content from learned files to answer user questions. Admins only need to Update the file Content, and the Tabler will Auto-update its answers. Compared with keyword-based Bots, this is more convenient and efficient. Q2: How does Group Q&A Tabler help Admins reduce the workload of Group management? A: Group Q&A Tabler learns from the Group Knowledge Base files organized by Admins and can provide self-service answers, reducing Group admin workload. Specifically:
  1. Self-service answers for Group members: When Group members @Group Q&A with a question in the Group Chat, the Tabler answers directly based on the learned Knowledge Base Content, with no real-time intervention required from Admins.
  2. Sync materials across one Group, deliver answers across many: For Admins managing multiple Group Chats, simply Update the Content in a single unified Knowledge Base. The Tabler can then answer based on the latest Content across all Group Chats linked to that Knowledge Base, avoiding repeated answering and message syncing issues.
In this way, Group Q&A Tabler greatly improves Group Chat management efficiency, allowing Admins to focus more on other important management tasks. Q3: How do I add Group Q&A Tabler? A: In the toolbar of a DingTalk Internal Group Chat, click “Smart Q&A”. You can link an existing Knowledge Base or Create a new Group Knowledge Base. Once learning is complete, the Tabler is automatically added to the Group, and Group members can @Group Q&A to look up information from past Group Chat files. If you can’t add Group Q&A Tabler, contact DingTalk customer service to find out why. Q4: How can I use Group Q&A Tabler? A: There are two ways to use Group Q&A Tabler:
