This topic explains how platform admins enable and configure app governance in YiDA Dedicated edition, and how app admins complete the approval process to enable or publish apps under governance.

Enable App Governance

  1. Sign in to the YiDA workbench as a platform admin, go to the platform management page, click Governance Center, and turn On App governance.
  2. Enable the governance toggle and select the publishing channels to govern.
  3. Configure the governance scope.
App admins within the governance scope must submit an approval request to enable or publish an app.
  1. Configure the governance approval process.
Admins can Customize the governance process. Click Edit to modify the platform’s preset approval process (the application form itself cannot be modified).

Approval for Enable Requests

After an admin turns On “Enable governance”, apps newly created by users within the governance scope default to the “Disabled” state. Users outside the governance scope are unaffected, and their apps remain enabled by default. To make it easier for app admins to test apps during development, app admins subject to enable governance can Submit Data for app testing before the app is enabled. To enable an app, the app admin must first submit an “Enable request”. The app can be enabled only after the request is approved.

Approval for Publish Requests

To publish an app (to the DingTalk workbench, YiDA App Center, or Cool App Center), the app admin must first submit an “Enable request”. The app can be published only after the request is approved.
