1. Introduction

1.1 Feature Overview

Once you have confirmed the data to collect, create a form and design it to match your requirements.

1.2 Use Cases

Two form types are available. A regular form includes collaboration features and supports permission-based data management. A workflow form includes workflow features and supports workflow design. There are three ways to create a form:
  • Create from blank
  • Create from a template
  • Create a form from Excel (uses Excel headers as components)

2. How to Create a Form

Path: Open the YiDA workbench >> Click My Apps or Create new >> Enter the app editor.

2.1 Steps

(1) On the current App Center page, click Create blank form. (2) At the top of the left-hand navigation pane of the app, click Create page, then select Create form from the drop-down menu.
Note: After a workflow ends, workflow form data cannot be edited. Plan accordingly.

3. Create from Blank

Design your form from scratch with full customization.

4. Create from a Template

Select a suitable template to quickly create a form that fits your needs.

5. Create from Excel

Prepare an Excel spreadsheet locally, then import it directly into YiDA. Path: Click the target app >> Create form >> Import from Excel. Import a form from Excel. Upload the spreadsheet data. For details on bulk import, see Bulk import.
  • The app must be published before import. For details, refer to Enable or disable an app.
  • Forms are typically used to collect data and do not include an approval process on submission. If you need approval process capabilities, use a workflow form.
