In a grid view you can group records by a field — up to 3 levels of nesting.

Add a group rule

  1. Click Group in the view’s top toolbar.
  2. Click Add group rule.
A group rule has two parts: pick the field to group by, then the sort order within each group.

Remove a group

Click the remove icon next to the grouping rule.

Expand / collapse a group

Click the arrow next to a group name to expand / collapse the group. You can also use Collapse all or Expand all from the group config panel in the toolbar.

FAQ

Q: If I set grouping in the current view, do other views inherit it?

A: No. Grouping settings apply only to the current view and are saved independently.

Q: Will grouping reset on refresh or reopen?

A: In public views, unsaved changes are temporary, while saved changes persist. In private views, changes are saved automatically.

Q: Can I set multiple group rules?

A: Yes. You can add up to three grouping levels.

Q: Can I drag groups to a custom order?

A: No. Manual group ordering is not supported. You can sort groups by option order, alphabetical order (A–Z or Z–A), numeric order (0–9 or 9–0), or date order (earliest to latest or latest to earliest).
