View whole-table history

In the AI Table, click the save-state label at the top-right.

Restore from history

Right now, AI Table only supports manual copy-paste to restore.
  1. Pick the version you want from the right panel.
  2. Select the rows to restore, right-click and pick Copy — or use cmd/ctrl + c.
  3. Back in the editor, paste with cmd/ctrl + v.

View the history of a single record

Method 1:
  1. Right-click any cell in the row.
  2. Pick View record history.
Method 2:
  1. Click View in the first cell to open the record detail.
  2. In the top-right of the detail, click the icon and pick Field / column history.

FAQ

Q: Who can view whole-table history and restore versions?

A: With Advanced Permissions off — Editors and above. With Advanced Permissions on — only file admins.

Q: Who can view single-record history?

A: With Advanced Permissions off — anyone with Edit or above. With Advanced Permissions on — users with Full access on the table see all fields’ history; users with Edit see history only for fields they have access to. Other roles can’t view it.

Q: Why doesn’t my edit show in single-record history?

A: Either the field type doesn’t track history, or the action didn’t change cell content.

Q: Can I roll back just one table or view?

A: Not yet.

Q: Can I see share activity in history?

A: Not yet.
