RMBFORMAT

The RMBFORMAT function formats a numerical value into uppercase Chinese Renminbi (RMB) format.

Supported Product Scenarios

The RMBFORMAT function is supported in the following YiDA scenarios.

RMBFORMAT(number, type)

Attribute	Required	Description
number	Yes	The number to be formatted.
type	Yes	The formatted text format type. Values: • 1: Jiao Zheng (jiao exact). • 0: Yuan Zheng (yuan exact). Note: The character “整” (Zheng, meaning “exact”) must be appended when the smallest unit is Yuan or Jiao. It is not required for smaller units such as Fen or below.

Return value type	Description
Text	The formatted uppercase RMB text. The corresponding uppercase characters are: `零、壹、贰、叁、肆、伍、陆、柒、捌、玖、拾、佰、仟、万、亿、元、角、分、厘`.

In the figure below, the formula returns: 壹拾贰万叁仟肆佰伍拾陆元整 (meaning “One hundred twenty-three thousand four hundred fifty-six yuan exact”).
