SEARCH

The SEARCH function finds the position of a target substring within a source text. It returns 0 if no match is found.

Supported Scenarios

The SEARCH function is supported in the following YiDA scenarios.

SEARCH(findtext,withintext,start_num)

Attribute	Required	Description
findtext	Yes	The target substring to search for.
withintext	Yes	The source text to be searched.
start_num	No	The starting position of the search. Number type.

Return type	Description
Text	The starting position of the substring within the source text. Returns 0 if no match is found.
