Image and attachment

The Image and attachment field stores files directly in cells — site photos, design drawings, PDF contracts, Excel reports. It’s used for asset management (equipment photos), contract archiving (scanned documents), expense approval (invoice uploads), etc. — with online preview and batch management.

Add a field

In a grid view, quickly create a column for files:
  1. Click + on the right of the header.
  2. Under Standard fields in the dropdown, pick Image and attachment.
  3. Enter a field name (e.g. “Asset photo” or “Related files”) and save.

Upload and manage files

After creating the field, upload files in multiple ways:

1. Upload

Click the empty area in a cell to open the upload panel.
  • Local upload: pick files from your computer or mobile gallery.
  • Drag and drop: drag files from your desktop straight into the cell (multiple files supported).

2. Preview and download

  • Online preview: click a file name or thumbnail in the cell to preview images, play videos, or view documents in a large window — no download needed.
  • Standalone preview: click Preview on the right of the cell to open in a separate plugin.

Download attachments

Open the menu in the upper-right — Export asExport as Excel — pick an attachment export option in the dialog.

Advanced — use as view cover

In kanban or gallery views, images in attachment fields can be set as the card cover for visual impact.
  1. Switch to kanban or gallery view.
  2. Click Settings in the upper-right.
  3. Under Cover, pick the corresponding Image and attachment field.
  4. Once set, the card uses the field’s first image as the cover.
