The start node is the workflow initiation node in premium workflow design. You can configure node submission rules for the start node. Node submission rules are configured with formulas and support validation rules and association actions. These rules use formula validation to determine whether a user can perform a given action. This decides whether the user can submit the workflow or the approver can process it.

Use Case

For example, in a reimbursement system, only reimbursements with a total amount below 10,000 can be submitted for workflow approval. Reimbursements above 10,000 are not allowed. In this case, configure the corresponding formula validation on the start node.
