🎬 Feature video for this release: Spreadsheet adds data collection, balancing efficiency and security View the attachment “December video.mp4” in DingTalk Docs.

Spreadsheet | Launch data collection to quickly aggregate and organize sensitive data

When collecting data that involves sensitive information, how can you protect respondent privacy while quickly compiling statistics? Spreadsheet now offers the “Collect data” feature, integrated with the smart form. Submissions stay invisible to other respondents, and results are automatically aggregated back to the spreadsheet, making management and reporting more efficient. 💡 Availability | Desktop 📖 Instructions: Entry: Top bar > Collaboration > Collect data. Available only to users with Edit or higher permissions on the spreadsheet. Collection methods: Create a blank form or build from existing headers. Build from headers: Reuse existing column headers and choose which fields to retain. You must preset at least one question type. After confirming, you can redirect to the smart form to continue configuration. Once the smart form is launched, an “Aggregation worksheet” is automatically generated in the original spreadsheet to sync and consolidate the collected data. A single spreadsheet supports up to three associated collection forms.

Spreadsheet | Mobile now supports double-tap to preview and redirect for easier content viewing

Previously, double-tapping a cell on mobile when viewing a spreadsheet would enter edit mode. Spreadsheet has been upgraded so that for image, link, and attachment cells, double-tap now directly previews or redirects, making content viewing more convenient. 💡 Availability | Mobile 📖 Instructions: Double-tap an image, link, or attachment in a spreadsheet on your phone. The image opens in full size, the link opens directly, or the attachment is previewed.

Spreadsheet | More cell number formats supported

When formatting cells, more options are now available under Number format, greatly improving compatibility. 💡 Availability | Desktop 📖 Instructions: Entry: Toolbar > Number format > “More formats” at the bottom of the menu. Other operations are consistent with desktop Excel. Note: “Custom number format” is not yet supported.

Spreadsheet | Bulk convert floating images to cell images

When editing a spreadsheet, you no longer need to adjust image formats one by one. With this Spreadsheet upgrade, imported floating images can be converted to cell images in one click. 💡 Availability | Desktop 📖 Instructions: Entry: Select a floating image > right-click menu > Convert all floating images to cell images. Click to convert in one step. The conversion rule matches single-image conversion: the cell at the top-left corner of the image becomes the target position.

Spreadsheet | Insert multiple images into a cell for more comprehensive content

When editing forms, what if a single image per cell isn’t enough? Spreadsheet now supports “inserting multiple images in a single cell” so descriptions are more comprehensive and clear, leaving nothing out. 💡 Availability | Desktop 📖 Instructions: Entry: Insert cell image — multiple images can now be uploaded. Note: Only the upload method currently supports inserting multiple images.

Spreadsheet | Mobile supports generating shareable images from a selected range

The Spreadsheet mobile experience has been upgraded. When you select a range of cells, a new “Generate image” option appears in the floating menu, so your shared data keeps its original appearance. 💡 Availability | Mobile 📖 Instructions: On a phone or iPad, select a cell range to bring up the floating menu, which now includes “Generate image”. Tap to generate an image of the selection, then forward and share it directly, or save it to your phone album.

Spreadsheet | Mobile smart screenshot — view all your data clearly without screen limits

When sharing screenshots on mobile, what do you do when the spreadsheet is too long to capture in one shot due to screen size? Spreadsheet for mobile now supports smart screenshot: it detects screenshot gestures and generates a data image in one tap, making sharing more convenient. 💡 Availability | Mobile 📖 Instructions: On a phone or iPad, when you use the screenshot gesture, the app automatically identifies the data area on the current worksheet and generates a data image. Forward and share it directly, or save the image to your phone album.

DingTalk Docs | iPad mobile supports swipe-to-select paragraphs for easier document editing

When working on the go, is the mobile screen too small to easily select text? With the new swipe-to-select feature, a gentle finger swipe accurately selects paragraphs, making operations like copy and comment more efficient and greatly boosting content editing productivity. 💡 Availability | Mobile 📖 Instructions: DingTalk Docs > any paragraph > swipe horizontally > select the paragraph.

DingTalk Docs | Mobile now supports Print and Download As for flexible operations across more work scenarios

DingTalk Docs | Download as PDF supports exporting body and comments together so collaboration feedback is always at hand
